The Nigerian Scenario
I.E.... Mr Abel has several wives. Only the ones in Green, Black and Red skirts have jobs, where they earned a living. Martha the one in green is a Nurse. The one in black is a teacher. She goes by the name Rose. The wife in Red, is a banker. She earns $2000 monthly. Martha and Rose both earn $200 and $209 monthly. The husband, Mr Abel, is a Forklift driver for a big time beverage company. His total take home is $578. Altogether $2785. The monthly family budget is now drawn on that figure after $85 is kept as savings. That savings over the years has come in handy when one of the kids needed a major surgery that would have swallowed up all their monthly income if the $85 was not kept aside. Unfortunately, the husband's salary was cut to $320. He was lucky he was not laid off, like his other 12 Colleagues. When the banker wife came back, looking really moody. She had be affected by a salary cut. Reducing her monthly pay of $2000 to $1400. The sad part of the whole thing is that the man, still has to run the family like nothing is changed. Abel has decided to borrow money from some of his friends. But none is willing to help him out because, some of the people he had approached all have one wife each. They still can not understand why of all the wives, only 3 worked... yet all get upkeeps. Interestingly, the banker with the highest pull has just one child but pregnant for the second. All other wives are pregnant too. Some for their 6th, 4th, 3rd, 7th or 2nd child. In this family, all wives survive on the salaries described above. THIS MY DEAR FRIENDS IS THE STORY OF NIGERIA. Some states just wait for Federal Allocation. They do not even try to get busy to help support the economy. They still live large like state governors who contribute through the federal account. *Tbc*
